Betty Jean Harper was granted  her angel wings on October  21, 2022. Her days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Betty touched  in some way throughout her very memorable life.

Betty Jean was born to Zora and  Norman Jackson on December  25, 1935 in Dale County, AL. Betty graduated from D.A Smith High School in Ozark, AL After graduation  Betty married  her  sweetheart Robert  Newman and bared  three children to the union, Robert Jr,  Donnie Ray and Kathy.

Later in life she remarried  Holden  Harper. To that union she had her last child Quentin. Quentin having been born special  needs she dedicated  her life to caring for him. Betty loved life and will be remembered  by many as she was upbeat and lively. She will be missed greatly!

Betty was proceeded  in death by both parents Zora and Norman Jackson, Sister Vonnie Jackson, brother  Macy Jackson. Son Donnie Ray Newman, daughter  Kathy  Newman  Doty. Betty is survived  by brother Athey Jackson (Doris Jackson) two sons Robert  Newman and  Quentin Harper. Eight grandchildren, Derrick  Newman, Chrisit  Newman, Victor  Newman, Vincent  Doty, Kirk Doty , Kimberly  Newman, Eric McKinney and  Damane Wheeler. A host   of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was a devoted mother  to us all.
