Clara Rodgers Knighton was born to Thomas Rodgers and Mary Meadows on September 11, 1941 in Perote Alabama. She was the youngest of their children.

Sisters Laura Lee, Mary, Mildred, Ola and Annie Carol and brothers George, Sandy

and Thomas preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving brother Jeremiah and daughters Yetta Rodgers and Sonja Dickens (Daret), her grandson Hayes, special nieces Willia Dean and Cherry, and a host of nieces and nephews.
