Doris was born on April 20,1940, to the late LC and Evie Lee Rowe in Shiloh, Alabama.

She was united in holy matrimony to John E. Jones, and three children were born to this union. She later married Minister Shelly Bivins.

Doris dedicated 31 years of faithful service working in housekeeping at the hospital in Enterprise. She truly never met a stranger, and her love language was expressed through cooking and baking. She will be fondly remembered for her famous tea cakes, which brought joy to many.

She was a devoted and faithful member of the Church of God by Faith until her health began to decline.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shelly and her stepson, Rod; her nephews, Billy and Rodney Rowe; and her sister-in-law, Mary Bivins.

Her precious memories will be forever cherished by her loving children: Rocky, Ronnie and Felicia (Anthony), Christine (Bill); and Greg (Gaynell). She also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters: Lois, Betty, and Chris; grandchildren: Martez, Raheen, Jamaree, Jada, Stacy (Monroe), Kim, and Kenny; great granddaughter: Ari’onna; nieces: Sabrina, Donna, Debra, Brenda and Denise; her nephews: Michael and Cory; cousins: Sue, Cephus and Jamesie; special friends: Linda Hiller, Evelyn Beachem, Mary Smith, Willie Kate Richardson, Geraldine Newman, Evelyn and Benny Neal, Linda and Wade Roberson, Edythe Williams, Deborah Trammell; and a host of other relatives and friends she knew and loved.
