Death Notice

Ozark...... Emily Terry went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 6th 2020 at Flowers Hospital. She was 62 years of age.

Obituary

A servant, encourager, and friend to all named Emily Lavois Dawkins was born July 9, 1957 to the late Hayward Williams and Evelyn Grace Thomas Dawkins. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Greater Old Salem Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama. She was educated in the Dale County school system. Emily was united in holy matrimony to Otis J. Terry III on December 16, 1973. To this union three (3) children were born. God saw that His child was suffering. On Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 8:21pm, He came and stood beside her bed, closed her big brown eyes and whispered "Well done thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter into the joy of thy lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Hayward and Grace Dawkins. She leaves to cherish her memory three (3) loving children: Demetra (Frank) Strother, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Jamie Terry, Ozark, Alabama; and Chasity Terry, Ozark, Alabama. Four (4) siblings: Doris Dawkins, Birmingham, Alabama; Ronald Dawkins, Ozark, Alabama; Donald (Cora) Dawkins, Birmingham, Alabama; Reginald Dawkins, Enterprise, Alabama. Seven (7) grandchildren Takeela March, Christopher Terry, Kahlil Strother, Jahlil Strother, Jordan Strother, Bryce Terry, and Tyler Terry. Three (3) great-grandchildren: Christopher Terry Jr., Caleb March, Elijah Terry. Five (5) nieces and nephews: Rhonda Dawkins Blair, Amanda (Greg) Guyton, Reginald (April) Jeffries, Jasmine Tellier, and Shante Tellier and a host of relatives, extended family, and friends.
