Obituary

Irvin Barker, Jr was born March 28, 1940 in Barbour County, Alabama to the later Irvin Barker and Armiler Walker Barker. Irvin professed Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at Elam Baptist Christian Fellowship Church, Clayton, Alabama. Irvin graduated from Barbour County Training School and attended Tuskegee Training Institute. During this time he started farming which became his greatest hobby. He worked for American Building for over 20 years until the close of business. Irvin loved his family and would give the shirt off his back to help others. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Armiler Barker. One brother and four sisters. Irvin leaves to cherish a legacy of loving memories with one brother Charles ( Mamie) Barker of Romulus, Michigan two sisters Mrs. Ann Cross of Romulus, Michigan and Mrs. Ruth Akings of Anchorage, Alaska. A very special and loving niece who was also his care giver until he departed this world Lizzie Ree (John Lewis) Jones Ozark, Alabama and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Irvin will truly be missed by many.
