Obituary

God called his precious child, Jerry "Red" Crittenden, to his heavenly rest on Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was 57.

Homegoing services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Ozark. Interment will follow in the Ozark City Cemetery. Newman Mortuary is entrusted with final arrangements. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Newman Mortuary, 114 Harper Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360.

Brother Jerry "Red" Crittenden, a native of Ozark, was born to the late, Mrs. Elvira Smith and Jerry Freeman on July, 22 1959.  He was one of six children.

At an early age, Brother Crittenden confessed to Christ and united with First Missionary Baptist Church in Ozark, Al. He remained a faithful and devoted member until death.

Bro. Jerry was retired from the Ozark City School System after many years of employment at Mamie Thompkins School and previously served on the Ozark City Council for four years.

Brother Crittenden leaves to cherish his very precious Daughter Jessica Stanford, Ozark, sons Justin, Ozark and Jerry Jr, New York. Sisters Elaine Calhoun, HellenSue (Joe) Austin Eddie Charles Crittenden, Valorie (Windell) McCray, Evelyn Louis all of Ozark. Five grandchildren Kyokkhai Stanford, Joseline Stanford, Nevaeh McCloud, London McCloud, Sincere Stanford. Two special nephews, Carolton Reese McCray, Christian Tyler Louis. Three special nieces Cynthia Milton, Cassandra Beaty and Tralana D. McCray. One special niece Khrishell A. McCray. Aunt and uncles, Myra Ann Crittenden, Frank Crittenden, Alice Crittenden, Patricia Crittenden.
