Jerry Leroy Martin was born on January 5, 1956, in Ozark, AL. He was the fifth child of Ulysses and Carrie Martin.

He attended D.A. Smith Elementary School and graduated from Carroll High, Ozark, Al in 1974. He was a member of Church of God By Faith since birth.

He was a Brick Mason and Breeder of Shih Tzu dogs, and his favorites were Meiah, Gracie and Soffie. In his spare time, he loved fishing and working on antique cars.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: Jermaine Warren, Atlanta, GA; Jemelle (Erica) Neal, Midland City, AL; Darrious Dean, Enterprise, AL; Lashonda (Lee)Trope, Kileen, TX; Christopher (Lynette) Napier, TX; Four sisters (Kathy(Charlie) Woods, Debra Martin-Keys, Shelia(Joel) Lucas, Cynthia(Stephen) McLendon, and One brother (Willie(Shari) Martin), a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members and friends.
