Life Story

Jewell Dean (Williams) Flowers was born February 23, 1966 to Roy Lee Williams and Lois Williams . She was 1 of 7 children born of this union, as her journey didn’t start alone but also alongside her identical twin sister, Geraldine.

Jewell spent her childhood being a “country girl”, a title that she never let anyone forget as she was so proud to be a true southern belle. She loved to cook, sit on the porch and enjoy the sunshine, and she loved to watch Western movies.

Upon graduating G.W. Long High School, she dedicated 40 years of her life in the healthcare field and was a devoted healthcare provider at Oakview Manor Healthcare facility . There was not a day that she didn’t push herself to go and serve others in any capacity that she could.

Jewell was a loving wife, mother, and “mom-mom”. She was married to James Flowers, and together they shared four children in their union. If there was any person or baby who needed loving, she would be there to fulfill that role for anyone who needed it.

Jewell will always be remembered as the sunshine in any room. Full of love and laughter. A smile that only an angel could possess. On February 25, 2026, the Lord called her into His presence.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Roy Lee Williams Sr., two sisters, Pearl Irving and Dorothy Culliver, and one brother James Arthur Williams, and her Father-in-Law, Namon Flowers Sr.

To keep her precious memory alive are her Mother, Lois Hall, husband, James Flowers, daughter, Angela Raven Flowers, two step-daughters, Sarah (Charles) Fisher, Monique (Jovan) Henderson, and James (Natasha) Edward’s, two sisters, Geraldine Wilkins, Regina (Dave) Campbell, and one brother, Roy Lee Williams Jr. Mother-in Law, Hattie Elizabeth Lemmons, Three sister-in- laws, Charlotte (Larry) Weston, Lisa (Kim) Bellamy, Linda Byrd and one brother-in-law, Namon (Linda) Flowers Jr. Six “glam” babies, as well as host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
