Death Notice

Sister Jo Ann Lester went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 29th at Opp Health and Rehabilitation. She was 65 years of age.

Obituary

Miss JoAnn Lester was born February 14, 1955 to late Josephine Lester and Edward Cassidy. She was a faithful member of St. Mark A.M.E Church in Newton, AL all her li.

She attended Mack M. Matthews and Dale County High School. She later attended Riley College in Dothan, AL.

JoAnn worked numerous of jobs, but her greatest career was taking care children. Infants were her pride and joy. Her love and care showed through every baby she touched.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her second parents, Pharoah and Carrie Sanders (Lester). She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughters, Tyiece Tameka Lester and Paisleigh Chantel Lester; one grandson who was "her heart" Kristian Joziah Oliver; sister Delouis (Jimmy) Cole, San Antonio, TX; two special aunts, Maggie Lester and Lizzie Lester Newton, AL; special friend, David Andrews.

JoAnn was blessed with a host of first cousins that she loved like sisters and brothers which gave her numerous of nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
