Ms. Mattie Jean Brantley-Porter was born September 9, 1948 to the late Coleman and Nellie Brantley of Ozark, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her brother Wallace Brantley of New York, her sister Mary McKinney of Ozark, Alabama, nephews Johnny Ray Brantley and Samuel D. Brantley both of Ozark, Alabama, a niece; Diane Brantley of New York, an aunt Bettie L. Hollyfeild of Montgomery, Alabama and Margrette Brantley; a sister-in-law of New York.

She is survived by one brother; Coleman Brantley Jr. and four sisters; Lois McClain, Lucille Brantley, Nellie Decree, and Annie Jean Brantley all of Ozark, Alabama, as well as aunts Sadie M. Russel of Montgomery, Alabama and Mattie M. Given of Prattville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special great nephew Jay and a good friend Rita.
