OBITUARY
Ora Lee Lawson Ruley born December 7, 1939, to the late F.T. Lawson and Whittie Mae Lawson. At an early age, she confessed Christ and accepted Jesus as her personal savior. Sister Ora departed this life March 12, 2020, at Dale Medical Center, Ozark, AL.
Ora graduated from D.A. Smith School and shortly after, she gave birth to one daughter with her high school sweetheart, Jonathan Coleman. Two years later, she united in holy matrimony to SFC Wallace Lester Ruley, Sr. Six year later, they had a son, Wallace Ruley, Jr. They traveled the world, and when SFC Ruley retired, in 1971, they made their home in Ozark, Alabama 20 year later. She became a minister wife and first lady at Pea Creek Baptist Church, Louisville, Alabama, and was also an active member of Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church.
Ora attend Wallace Community College where she obtained a certification for public speaking. She was the Director of the Youth Choir, a member of the Community Mass Choir, member of the Gospel Bells and the Melatons, she worked several years at Oak View Manor as a head cook, then moved on to work for the State of Alabama Home Health Services, and fostered several children.
At age 47, Ora had a massive stroke, the doctors said, "She would never walk or talk again", but God knew better! She continued to serve and praise God at Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, and went to as many churches services as she could attend. She was a resident at Oak View Manor where she participated in church and sung for the Lord. Also visited the sick and shut-in of Oak View Manor Residents. Ora will be truly missed by her love ones and friends.
She leaves in cherish memory, her daughter Ora Renia Eutsey (Eddie), sons Anthony Clark and Shaun Warren (Lash). Sister(s) Pearl Prater, Emma King (Larry), Sarah Blackwell, brother(s) Rev. Lawyer T. Lawson (Faye), and Jerry Lawson (Jackie), Grandchildren, Omeca Eutsey (Robert), Eddie Eutsey, Jr. (Tomekica), Lester Ruley, James Ruley (Ananda), Josh Ruley, Anfernee Feagin, Kenadee Ruley. Great-grandchildren: Brittany, Nathan, Tamiyah, Kameron Eutsey, Kaleeya, and Ashanti Ruley.
Ora is proceeded in death by parents F.T and Whittie Mae Lawson, son Wallace Lester Ruley, Jr., Wallace Ruley, Sr., brother Johnny Frank, sisters Wonnie Mae Rosbia, Annie Jean Bowens, Aunt Nancy Baker, nephew Allen Lawson, Charles Prater, great nephew Savoy Jones, and great niece Zoe Lawson.
