Mr. Ulysses Shingles Jr was born on August 9, 1960 in Randolph County GA, to the late Mr. Ulysses Shingles Sr. and Jessie Mae Vanover- Shingles. He departed this life on July 28, 2021 in Ozark, AL. He started his education at Webster County School Systems and Miami-Dade County Florida School Systems. He worked as a printing press operator until his retirement He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was united in holy matrimony to Miss Sally Grimes on March 28, 1987 to this union four children were born.

He was preceded in death by one son Derrick L. Shingles and one brother Frank Shingles. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Sally Shingles, two Daughters; Ms. Natavia L. Shingles, Kenyatta Shingles, one son; Mr. Ulysses Shingles III, seven grandchildren, four sisters; Catherine Shingles, Flossie Shingles, Cassandra Sims and Linda Shingles, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
