Obituary

William Walter McLeod, Jr. known as "Walter", went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Walter was born October 18, 1961 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Annie Jean Lawson Bowens and the late William Walter McLeod.

Walter attended school in Ozark, Alabama and later moved to Warner Robins, Georgia where he lived with his mom's twin, Aunt Emma. He was a Christian and was baptized at Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama. In 2011, Walter moved to San Antonio, Texas. He loved his family and friends, and would bring energy and joy to any room. Those of us that knew Walter, knew he was a Michael Jackson Superfan! Walter was a professional Michael Jackson impersonator from Ozark, who bore a striking resemblance to the King of Pop when he was in costume. When Walter performed as Michael Jackson, he had the looks and the moves. When

watching Walter perform, you thought you were attending a Michael Jackson concert. Walter will be truly missed!

Walter was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Jean Lawson Bowens; his father, William Walter McLeod; grandparents, F.T. and Whittie Mae Lawson; aunts, Wonnie Rosbia, Pearl Prater, Ora Lee Ruley, and Sarah Blackwell; and uncles, Johnny Frank Lawson and Lawyer T. Lawson.

He is survived and forever cherished by his loving aunt, Emma King (his mom's twin sister); uncle, Jerry (Jacqueline) Lawson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
