Burl A. Gross passed away at his residence on Sunday October 11th. He was 49 years of age.
Obituary
Burl Anthony Gross was born October 12, 1970 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jesse and Melva Gross. Burl died in Ozark, Alabama, October 11, 2020.
Burl was preceded in death by his Grand - Parents, and (2) Sisters: Kena Michelle Clark and Shante Banks.
Burl accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas by the late Rev. V. Banks. Burl sang and led songs in the Jr. Choir, served on the Jr. Usher Board. Regularly attended Jr. Mission. And played the Coronet in the Church Jr. Orchestra and wrote the music .Burl loved to paint portraits and participated in Art Shows in Little Rock, Arkansas. Burl loved to play Jazz Piano as he grew into Manhood.
Burl was known by those who loved and knew him for his quick wit, his infectious smile and compassionate spirit, always willing to help.
Burl graduated from H. Grady Spruce Sr. High School, Dallas, Tx. in 1989 where he played football was in the US Army Jr. ROTC and received many awards as a Troop Leader and Commander, and ran Track.
Burl Honorably Served in the US Army 1989 – 2002 and Faithfully served in the Desert Storm Gulf War in Saudi Arabia.
Burl worked as a Truck Driver for Schneider Trucking Co. Dallas, Tx.
Survivors include: His Daughter, K’Yani Gross, Ozark, Alabama, His Father, Jesse Gross, His Mother, Melva Clark – Cooper, (3) Sisters: Demarian (Eddie) Hall, Jessina Gross, Cherlena Gross (5) Brothers: Anthony Clark, Michael Clark, Colburn Randal, Mark Parish, Jesse Gross, Jr. and his cousin: James Gross all of Dallas, Tx. and a host of Loving relatives and friends.
