Mother Carrie Bell Martin was born on December 23, 1923 in Dothan, Al. She was the second of two children to John and Corine Smith.
Her love was clearly manifested when she married Ulysses Martin on February 19, 1944, a happy beginning of a new life together that lasted over 50 years.
She confessed her faith in Christ on April 19, 1945 and became one of the founding members of the Church of God By Faith, Ozark, Al. She faithfully served in several area of ministry: namely, Christian Board of Education, Usher Board locally and national, Missionary Society, and Culinary Services. She owner a daycare and co-owned a cleaning business.
She was preceded by her husband, Ulysses Martin, her sons Love Otis, Ulysses Jr, Lewis Martin and daughter Dianne Martin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Kathy (Charlie) Woods, Tuscaloosa, Al; Jerry Martin, Ozark, Al; Debra Martin-Keys, Ozark, Al; Shelia (Joel) Lucas, Spartanburg, SC; Willie Mack (Shari) Pleasant Grove, Al; Cynthia (Stephen) McLendon, Dothan, Al; a host of grandchildren, great grand children and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many other family members and friends.
Her best friend Mrs. Verlean Johnson, the last of the Enterprise Road Troopers and Evelyn Neal who picked up the baton for her mother.
