Clinton Cornelius Borders, 53, of Daleville, Al passed March 22, 2021 at the Enterprise Medical Center. Clinton was born to the union of Cephus and the late Gussie Smith Borders on August 1, 1967. He joined First Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1986. He then joined the United States Army and his total time of military service was 26 years, completing several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He retired honorable discharge as a Sergeant. During his time of service he received several awards including: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon.
Clinton was kindhearted, soft spoken and a man of few words, but had the biggest heart. He was passionate about Alabama football, music, cooking, and being around his family. Making sure everyone around him had everything they needed. He loved God and loved his family often telling all of us to cherish every minute together.
He leaves in his legacy, his children Marqueese Borders, Olani Borders, and Owyn Borders. His only granddaughter Rhylee Borders. His father Cephus Borders. HIs siblings Mitchell Borders, Dawn (Donald) Britt, Pamela Borders, April (Anthony) Boyd, Sharon (Roderick) Sheppard. His blended family members Elizabeth Borders, Christopher Doyle, De’Shawn Larkin, Damien Melton, Leevion McMath. His Aunts Marie Stacy, Sherry Tyrues, Anita Tyrues, and Sue Jones. His uncles Richard Smith, and Benjamin Smith. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
