George Simpson Obituary

George Mason Simpson (age 86) of Ozark, Al. peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

George was Born on January 1, 1936 in Davant, La. to Estelle and Henry Simpson (Deceased).

After graduating High School, George enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served 21 years. Upon retirement from the Navy he was employed by the U.S. Army at Fort Rucker for 21 years.

George was a devout Catholic at St. John’s Catholic Church, he served in various organizations in the church and was a member of The Knights of Columbus, until he was no longer able to serve.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle and Henry Simpson. Four Grandsons, Steven Simpson, Warren Simpson, Wesley Simpson and Darrell Garner. George was one of twelve siblings, eight brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

George is survived by his wife Jean M. Simpson, his children, George, Rose, and Darrell Simpson, Roslyn Ringold (Tommie), Faith Williams (John), Christina, Valerie and Stacey Simpson.

His Grandchildren, Naeisha and Alana Lee, TaShonda Ringo, Danielle Simpson, Dawn and Ashley McCullum. Gregory Simpson, Ronald Lee and Patrick Simpson.

Thirteen Great Grandchildren, Gajuan, Jamirah, JaNyah, Steven, Nyteria, Jordan, ZaCorion, ZaMillyah, Mya, Dawn, Tamia, Kaiden, Paige and Landon.

One Brother, Austin Simpson.

A host of nieces and nephews.
