A TIME TO BE BORN:
Bro. Ira H. Belford was born to the late Dennis Belford and Alma Tarrance in Robstown Texas on June 25, 1939. He was one of seven children. On the afternoon of September 1, 2021, God extended a welcome hand unto his child. “I heard the voice of Jesus say come unto me and rest, lay down thy weary one, lay down thy head upon my breast.” He is preceded in death by six siblings and Pricilla Belford, Daughter.
A TIME TO WORSHIP:
Bro. Ira H. Belford became a member of the church of Christ because of the teaching of Bro. R.B Williams of Elba and placed membership with the Adams Street Church of Christ in 1989. He later moved his membership to the Southside Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. James Jackson, upon Bro. Jackson’s death, he became the minister and served faithfully for 27 years and remained a member there until God called him home.
HE LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS MEMORIES:
Three Sons: Steven Belford (Ozark, AL), Antonio M. Parker (Las Vegas, NV), Timothy M. Belford (Porsha Belford) (Athens, AL). Two Daughters: Pamela Denise Belford (Ozark, AL), Ingrid Andrea Belford-Glanton (Rayshaun Glanton) (Dothan, AL).
11 Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
