James Otis Crittenden left his earthly home July 16th 2020 at the age of 68 at his home in Montgomery, AL.
Obituary
James Otis Crittenden was born to Maxwell and Eva Crittenden on October 9, 1951 in Montgomery, AL and departed this life on July 16, 2020 in Montgomery, AL. He was affectionately known to his family as ‘James Otis’. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at Greater Sardis Baptist Church while attending church with his mom in Ozark, AL. He attended school in the Ozark City School System. While attending, the school system was segregated. His class was the first to graduate from Carroll High School in Ozark, AL once the integration happened in 1970. Shortly after, James Otis Crittenden joined the Army to serve his country. He was a veteran. There were very fond memories of our loved one. According to his sister Maxine, he used to love playing basketball with his brothers when they were younger. He will truly be missed.
Preceded in death – his parents Maxwell and Eva Crittenden. Brothers Malik Elamin, and Billy Ray Crittenden Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories sister Maxine Marsett of Dover, Florida; Nephews – Darren Marsett of Ozark, Alabama; Leon Marsett of San Diego, CA; Khalis Elamin of Dothan, Alabama; Billy Ray (Tamara) Crittenden II of Pensacola, FL; Nieces – Kimi Bivins of Ft Mitchell, AL; Pamela (Raymond) Williams of Dover, FL; Brandy (Earl) Matthews of Midland, GA ; Malika Rivers of Tallahassee, FL; Aunt Anne Marie Stewart of Midland City, AL and Uncle Namon Flowers of Montgomery, AL and a host of other family and friends.
