Obituary


Mr. Jimmy Ray Crittendon was born on November 14, 1949, to the late Levi Crittendon, and the late Clara Bell Crittendon. On September 2, 1969, Jimmy enlisted as a member of the United States Army, where he served duty oversees, and after returning to the states, he served as a Ground Surveillance System Operator. On January 29, 1987, he retired to his native hometown of Ozark, AL, where he developed the hobbies of gardening, fishing, and cooking.
The eldest of fourteen siblings, Jimmy was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. Departing this life on May 2, 2023, he is proceeded in death by his father, Levi Crittendon, and his mother, Clara Bell Crittendon; a special aunt, Maddie Daniels; two brothers, Randy Crittendon and Jackie Crittendon; and one sister, Emily Jackson. He is survived by four brothers, Barry (Brenda) Crittendon, Ozark, AL; Rickey Crittendon, Clio, AL; Edward (Annie Ruth) Crittendon, Killeen, TX; and Layman Crittendon, Ozark, AL; five sisters, Susan Crittendon, Shyrl Lightner, Frances Crittendon, Liza Crittendon, and Clara Crittendon, all of Ozark, AL; a special uncle, Richard Cullins, Ozark, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
