Obituary
Dec. Larry Harold Harper was a welcome Blessing to Mr. Edgar Daniel Harper (Deceased) and Mrs. Mae Lue Gissendanner Harper on October 30, 1948 as their first son weighing in at 13.12 pounds in Klondyke. He was delivered by midwifes Mrs. Dora Newman and Mrs. Henrietta Roberts. He was crawling at five months old and at seven months he walked out the front door and nailed the porch step boards back down. By the time he was a year old he was putting up fences for the cows, hogs, chickens and our mule Ike. He enjoyed building things and had his own construction company many years later. He built homes from Eufaula to Enterprise and all in between.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Mrs. Jacqueline Regina Griffin Harper, His son, Mr. Larry Kevin Harper ( Kevin’s Fiance, Ms. Nicole Theresa Martin) His mother
Mrs. Mae Lue Gissendanner Harper. One sister in law, Ms. Jo Ellis Chambers, two sisters, Mrs. Gloria Faye Lewis ( Herman E. Lewis) Whiteville, NC. and Ms. Bobbie C. Harper Randolph of Columbus, Ga. One brother, Mr. Rufus Daniel Harper (Mary Emma Harper) of Ozark, Al. Nine nieces and nephews. Ms. Cheryl Denise Hendricks, Mr. Bernard Delano Hendricks, Mrs. Barbara Deloris Hall, Mr. Rufus D. Harper Jr., Mr. Brennan Daniel Harper, Mrs. Veronica Lynne Bland, Mr. Daminon Curtis Lewis, Mrs. Felicia Michelle Rayford and Dr. Christopher Daniel Stewart. He has two aunts Mrs. Brenda J. Harper and Mrs. Mollie Brinson, both of Ozark, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Sherry Ann Hendricks and his father Mr. Edgar D. Harper. He has a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
