Nichelle Finn, beautifully known as “Monique” was born July 29, 1975 to the late Dorothy Jackson and Frank Finn. She graduated from Grace H. Dodge Vocational High School in 1993. She continued her education at Wallace Community College earning an Associate’s degree in Nursing and furthered her education to become a LPN. She was a loving, dedicated and caring nurse for 18 years, spending majority of her career at Oakview Manor Nursing Home. She passed away unexpectedly at home in Ozark, Alabama, on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 46.
Knowing Monique was equivalent to knowing a hard-headed bull who had a heart of gold. Some see her as mean, smart mouthed, and an attitude like she did not give a care in the world, but it was nothing but love (for the right ones). She would do anything in this world for the ones she loved with no hesitation.
She is survived and greatly remembered by her children, Khalil Thigpen and Kiara Griffin. She is forever cherished by her brother, Rodney Robinson (Mary), and nephew, Aidan. Monique also leaves a beloved, life changing friend, Bertram Griffin. In addition, Monique leaves her cousin that was more like a sister, Roshanda Rivers, and her best friends Yamisha Gray-Griffin and Natasha Fenn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and the Oakview Manor community.
