Trawick Redding Sr. Obituary

Trawick Redding, “TR”, was born on July 1, 1943. A resident of Ozark, AL, he died at his home on

March 29,2024, with family members present. Trawick was born and raised in Ashford, AL where he

attended primary and graduated from Ashford high school. He was called into service in the U.S. Army

before the Vietnam War. On his return to Ozark, he worked at Ft. Novosel, formerly Ft. Rucker, where he

worked on Cairns Army Airfield as a bus driver for helicopter pilots and flight safety. In addition to his

City Schools and Ft. Rucker, he drove for the Ozark Senior Center. Trawick was well loved by anyone

who met him. Many of his students loved him and would tell anyone that he was one of Ozark City

Schools best bus drivers.

During his early years, he worked with his uncle Johnny Trawick by learning the funeral and the dry

cleaning business. It was shortly after that where he met the love of his life, Lille Dean Thompson, a

resident of Ozark, Alabama. They married in 1963.

helping people and giving a helping hand. He would often mentor young men and used a lot of his free
