Hello my name is Joseph Newman, in 2015 my father, Alton J. Newman, and I started Newman Mortuary to fill a need for a reputable black owned funeral home here in Ozark. I received Bachelors in Business Administration from Troy University and attended Jefferson State Community College. Although I was not born into the funeral industry, I have grown to love the industry and most importantly the people that have trusted us with the task of honoring their loved ones.

I've been in prominent in the Dale and surrounding communities. My other company Newman's Dump Truck & Backhoe Service has helped and served the community for over 30 years and we will continue to serve the community with this funeral home.
